MESSAGE TO ROME
From the Chronicle of the Past Millennium...
After Kupala in 1024, our famous prince Bolesław prepared an embassy and ordered them to hurry to Rome. He sent an embassy to Pope John, who succeeded Benedict to the Holy See, to obtain the royal crown for himself. The hated emperor Henry II, who was an obstacle to the coronation, was finally buried in the crypt, so Bolesław's delegation was clever to take care of the crown and not, as in the old days, it was sent for forfeiture to Stephen of Hungary or another ruler...
The delegation was escorted away and said goodbye by the inhabitants of the town of Lech, and when it had disappeared from everyone's sight, everyone returned to their activities and the life of the town went on as usual...
